Group Lesson
The one most people start with.
Two hours at Batu Bolong, four surfers to a coach. You will spend the first twenty minutes on the sand learning where to lie, how to pop up and how to fall safely — then the rest of it in the water, being pushed into whitewater until it clicks. Most people stand up in their first session. Nobody minds if you do not.

Semi-Private Lesson
Two surfers, one coach.
The same two hours with far more of your coach's attention, and the pace set by the two of you rather than the group. Good if you are learning with a partner or a friend, and good if you have surfed before and want to fix something specific.

Private Lesson
One to one, at your pace.
Your coach watches every wave you take and tells you what happened on it. This is the fastest way to progress, and it is also the right choice if you are nervous — there is nobody else waiting on you and nothing to keep up with.

Kids Lesson
Ages six to eleven, three to a coach.
Ninety minutes, shorter and lighter than the adult session, in the shallow whitewater inside the reef. Coaches stay within arm's reach the whole time. Parents are welcome on the sand and welcome in the water.
